    Am I GDPR compliant without TYPO3 updates?

    Article 32 "Security of processing" of the General Data Protection Regulation states:

    "Taking into account the state of the art, the costs of implementation and the nature, scope, context and purposes of processing as well as the risk of varying likelihood and severity for the rights and freedoms of natural persons the controller and the processor shall implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk"

    Security updates for the CMS used must also be installed in order to guarantee the specified level of protection and thus be GDPR-compliant.

    (Long-Term-Support)

    As an LTS release (Long-Term Support), TYPO3 v13 LTS receives bug fixes for 1.5 years from the release date. After that, free security updates will be provided for a further 1.5 years. This results in a total support period of 3 years.
